About the job

The Witcher Remake is in development! Fool's Theory is looking for experienced candidates to work on the project developed in cooperation with CD PROJEKT RED studio.

Responsibilities

  • Prototyping gameplay,

  • Improving and creating tools for gameplay designers,

  • Conducting code refactors, debug and code optimization,

  • Doing code reviews for other programmers,

  • Writing technical documentation (from time to time - we follow the principle that documentation is for people, not the other way around),

  • Cooperating with designers (they are highly technical).

Requirements

  • Familiarity with Unreal Engine 5,

  • Knowledge of Blueprints system in Unreal Engine 5 (how to use them, how to create new ones for designers) such as UE Ability System,

  • Good knowledge of C++ 11/14 (experience in professional work: 2+ years regular, 5+ years senior),

  • Previous experience in the gaming industry,

  • Knowledge of version control system (preferably Perforce),

  • Knowledge of profiling (GPU and CPU) and debugging,

  • Basic knowledge of algorithms and data structure,

  • Good communication skills,

  • Fluent English.

NICE TO HAVE:

  • Experience in gameplay / UI design (e.g. cooperation with design departments),

  • Previous participation in game jams.
