About the job

The Witcher Remake is in development! Fool's Theory is looking for experienced candidates to work on the project developed in cooperation with CD PROJEKT RED studio. The game is currently in the early stages and veteran Witcher series staff are involved. Sounds interesting? Get in touch with us!

Responsibilities

  • Improving and creating tools for designers,

  • Conducting code refactors, debug and code optimization,

  • Doing code reviews for other programmers,

  • Writing technical documentation (from time to time - we follow the principle that documentation is for people, not the other way around),

  • Cooperating with designers (they are highly technical).

Requirements

  • Familiarity with Unreal Engine 5 in terms of creating custom tools for designers (Custom editor windows, Editor Utility Widgets, Asset blutilities),

  • Good knowledge of C++ 11/14,

  • Experience in the gaming industry,

  • Knowledge of version control system (preferably Perforce),

  • Knowledge of debugging,

  • Basic knowledge of algorithms and data structure,

  • Good communication skills,

  • Fluent English.


NICE TO HAVE:


  • Knowledge of Slate UI Framework (Unreal Engine),

  • Experience with graphical user interface like OpenGL or DirectX 11,

  • Knowledge of Python.
